Description

The XP Deus has been on the market since 2009. It was marketed as the world’s first fully wireless metal detector and featherlight at only 750g, which is 50g lighter than the new XP Deus 2. Mono Frequency option– 49 single frequencies from 4 to 45 kHz enable narrower, more specific types of search, working with certain terrains and targets XP wireless protocol (10 times faster than low latency Bluetooth) between the coil, the WS6 module, and the headphones (+ the optional wireless Pinpointer MI6)

XP WS6 headphones represent the newer generation of wireless headphones by XP. These are not only headphones, they also work as a remote control box, being able to connect to the coil. This way, the detectorist can use a super lite version of Deus II, and enjoy the utmost convenience and flexibility. Once the three or indeed two main components are paired by simply entering a serial number, XP’s patented wireless protocol allows target signals generated by the search coil to be transmitted to either a built-in speaker or to the headphones without any delay. Not to be confused with Bluetooth technology & their ‘low latency’. Audio Response, Iron volume, Notch, Reactivity, Threshold with Audio frequency adjustable + many expert functions Upgraded audio interface: Choice of audible tones, four amplified audio outputs, multi-band equalizer ad¬justable on each output: Loudspeaker, wireless and wired headphones, bone conduction headphones.

Conclusion

XP’s philosophy is not to make their detectors down to a price, instead, they create and engineer a detector up to the specification required & without compromise, attention to detail is paramount. https://youtu.be/wR819z5c2nA Video can’t be loaded because JavaScript is disabled: XP Deus II for Beginners Lesson 7: How-to Pair and Unpair the MI6 Pin-pointer. (https://youtu.be/wR819z5c2nA) Other XP Deus II Videos Worth Watching If you follow my recommendations above, I guarantee the Deus II will start making sense and you will cut your learning time in half. The Deus II is a very powerful and capable metal detector. The more you use it the more you are going to like it. Don’t Believe Everything You Read About The Deus II. Fast Multi Frequency– this outstanding technology enables the search using many frequencies simultaneously, with fast recovery speed, working for all types of targets

Uses FMF up to 40kHz – uses low and high frequencies. Very efficient, works well in mineralized and trashy ground when searching for small targets. Reactivity is set at 2.5

Waterproof up to 65 feet– impressive deep search becomes available to the user with XP Deus II due to this high index of waterproofness DIVING: FMF • Max. freq. 14khz • Conductive soil subtraction. DIVING is the first and most stable of three programs intended for submerging in saltwater environments or simply on wet sand. Its very low and medium subtracted frequencies will better locate valuable targets such as rings and coins, whilst naturally being less responsive to low conductive targets like aluminum foil compared to the more sensitive Beach 11 and 12 programs. It can thus save time and be more effective in difficult diving conditions. Remember to cover the holes and replace the grass sections to prevent erosion and injury to animals or other people. What Makes The XP Deus 2 Metal Detector A Good Buy? There is not much falsing in RELIC mode, providing excellent accuracy. You may only need your pinpointer if the soil is very dark or if the item is particularly deep. Overall Performance: This is where the EQX was superior to my original Deus. The multi-frequency/multi IQ of the EQX vs the selectable single frequency of the Deus was an obvious choice in my salt water beach hunting environment. I eventually sold my Deus for that reason. Now, if XP has really overcome that limitation in the Deus II with their FMF feature, I'll be happily impressed.

Nor do I see a Deus 2 replacing this telescoping Equinox with 6” coil for light weight compactness and ability to work in tight quarters. Also a decent deep seeking discriminating pinpointer for use with a PI detector.

Bone conduction headphones are perfect for diving, because they conduct the sound signal directly to the inner ear through the cheekbone, without eardrums involved. This technology gives a list of advantages: people with impaired hearing can use those headphones, too, both on land and underwater, to get more information about the targets via vibrations conducted through the bone You’re right in that the original Deus was not a real salt water machine and that’s the main reason I sold it. I have higher hopes for the Deus 2 Audio headphones developed and manufactured by XP in France, designed specifically to meet de¬tecting requirements: no audio latency, automatic On/Off, sophisticated processor allowing the user to configure from the remote control.

XP WS6– wireless headphones provide flexible and safe activities since the user is not limited with wires, which adds convenience The XP Deus and The XP Deus II use what XP calls “Reactivity” which is also equivalent to the “Recovery Speed” on the Minelab Equinox. Does the XP Deus II have a faster recovery speed than the Equinox? Early tests and videos of side by side comparisons are showing that the Deus II has the advantage. The XP Deus has always been a really fast metal detector and it appears that XP has definitely improved what was already a very fast machine. Their proprietary use of Fast Multi-Frequency (FMF) appears to be giving them an edge over the Equinox. XP Deus Reactivity Chart Reactivity Number Uses FMF up to 14kHz -Stands for Deep High Conductor. Good for coins, coins spills i.e. high conductor targets. The best frequencies for valuables like gold, silver, and palladium items are between 30 and 88. XP Deus 2 – First Test On A Lake BeachGENERAL: FMF • Max. freq. 40khz • Conductive soil subtraction. GENERAL uses low and high frequencies and gives an excellent assessment of targets in the soil. It suits both beginners and experienced users. It offers an excellent target/false signal ratio in the ground, as it rejects the moisture in the soils, which can cause halos and false sounds when passing over holes, for example. You will therefore have more confidence on deep targets. This damp / wet soil subtraction thus attenuates the very low electric conductors like coke (coal, and conductive stone) and to a lesser extent certain very thin targets like aluminum foil. The XP Deus 2 has 12 programs with other individual adjustable parameters within. The standard programs you will find are: Uses 1 (Mono) frequency adjusts from 4 to 45kHz. Works in a single frequency. Good for EMI rejection, Use when in conditions where FMF is not suitable due to interference etc. I never particularly liked the Deus with the 11” coil. I did not see a big difference depth wise, it was very nose heavy, and the only improvement was for horizontal coverage.
