There will be hardback book-packs in two CD and triple LP formats, featuring an amplifier blowing remaster of the original album, previously unreleased demo bonus tracks and a previously unreleased, full concert recorded at Hull City Hall on June 22, 1983, plus the story of the album and many previously unseen photos. What a shame it was never released in their lifetime of the band, but as we know Lemmy would have probably blocked it, not being one to look back. Motorhead, the loudest band in the world, with the power and force of a hundred pneumatic drills they destroyed the nation over and again and no-one, repeat no-one, remained unaffected by them - everyone was torn limb from limb. black vinyl in artbook, including a double live album recorded at Friars in Aylesbury on March 31st 1979. Don't expect 'No Sleep till Hammersmith' quality where the best takes from three nights had been cherry picked and the instruments balanced in the mix and probably some overdubs added.

The bonus is that I don't think the tape has been edited so you get a lot of chat between songs by Lemmy and Fast Eddie. The original album is a metal classic and in my opinion the best set of songs Motorhead ever did which is borne out by the fact of how many stayed in the Motorhead set over the years and way after the demise of the classic line up. I don't mind the text, yes peripheral people, but they were there at the time and they bring a different angle.

I was still at school attending gigs while only having to worry about school results, and discovering new bands every week, especially heavy metal bands, through radio shows like the ‘Friday Rock Show’, and ‘Sounds’ music paper though I was more open minded than most, paying more than a little attention to the punk rock sounds of the day, that I listened to on John Peel's show ( Something I didn't tell my metal -head mates, as music fandom was almost tribal back in those days, it's strange when you think about it years later). By 1982, punk had been and gone, the new wave of heavy metal sounded squeaky and cliched next to its grubby godfathers and, while still trouncing all opposition, Motörhead retained that essential ability to laugh at everything, including themselves as they made lightning raids on every sense and orifice with everything cranked to overload. Iron Fist is repositioned as a vital snapshot of Motörhead at a crucial period when they found themselves caught in the tornado ignited by success and, in true Motörhead style, careered into their next phase at such velocity it transcended logic or reason to become this trio’s final kamikaze joyride.I for one have been waiting years for a full Overkill tour live recording in decent quality and this is it. Condition: NEW Brand: Rock Off Officially Licensed - Motorhead 'Overkill' (Black) PatchMaterial: PolyesterDimensions: Approximately 100mm x 100mm SquareStyle: This is a sew-on, woven polyester patch. Unlike the Castle the Road Racer benefits from 3 bonus tracks, Too Late Too Late, Tear Ya Down (an alternate instrumental take, labelled as the "original version") and Louie Louie. The album 'Overkill' and was ten times more powerful than their first album 'Motörhead', which was a killer in itself.
